Gwénaëlle Pennec
Gwénaëlle Pennec is French by nationality and was born in Brittany in 1963. Growing up in Bordeaux she completed her law studies at the Panthéon-Assas University (Paris II). Registered at the Paris bar, she worked as a lawyer in France but in 1992 switched her base to the Netherlands.

Gwénaëlle combined her lengthy experience at major law firms with a hands-on approach in service-oriented practices.

In the 15 years that she worked at the law firm of De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek N.V. Gwénaëlle steadily refined her specialist skills, providing international clients with legal advice and support, especially in the area of corporate law.

Gwénaëlle wanted to focus more specifically on Franco-Dutch legal questions, with the flexibility and vigour clients expect today. She established Pennec Legal Consultancy that matches substantive expertise to a flexible approach. Her ability to immerse herself rapidly in the client's corporate culture and business means clients use her services across a broad range of issues.

Gwénaëlle’s ambition: to put her knowledge and experience of French and Dutch corporate law and her feeling for French and Dutch cultures in the service of her corporate clients.

Gwénaëlle is also board member in Dutch companies.

Gwénaëlle's communication skills have helped her build up a wide-ranging Franco-Dutch network and client base. An example: Board Director of the French Chamber of Commerce in Amsterdam (CCI France Pays-Bas, www.cfci.nl).

Pennec Legal Consultancy works together with other lawyers, such as Le GAP (Groupement d’Avocats Pays-Bas) and Heering Advies Groep.

Gwénaëlle leads regularly legal workshops for various French-Dutch organizations.
